What is inside

One panel.
Five plugins.

Animated titles

22 titles, already built

Every one of them drops onto the timeline with the text still editable in Premiere. Retype it there, keep the animation.

Which editor are you?

Three ways people use it

The same panel, but the job it saves you is a different one depending on what you cut.

Short form

TikTok, Reels, Shorts

  • Safe zones measured from real phone screenshots, so a caption never lands under the interface
  • Captions written from what was actually said, in 29 languages
  • Reframing to vertical without redoing the framing by hand
  • Silences removed without eating the end of a word

Long form

YouTube and podcasts

  • Tighten the talking: the false starts, the repeats and the filler, cut
  • Auto Cut on an hour of speech, with no cut inside a word
  • Titles that stay editable in Premiere after you place them
  • The AI assistant, for the change you can describe faster than you can click

Music and events

Music videos and recaps

  • Tempo detected from the track, and every cut lands on a beat
  • Three cut styles: even, staircase, varied
  • Green screens found and keyed with the colour sampled from the clip
  • Music pulled down under the talking, automatically
See how the panel installs

What it replaces

The half you were doing by hand

By hand, every project

  • Scrub the whole take listening for the pauses
  • Razor, delete, close the gap. Once per pause
  • Watch it back to find the words you clipped
  • Count the beats and place the cutaways on them
  • Type every caption, then fix the ones that overflow
  • Draw the safe area from memory, or guess
  • Keyframe the music down under every sentence

With FastEdit

  • 257 ms to scan 32 seconds of audio for the pauses
  • Zero cuts inside a word, measured on real speech
  • Every cut on a beat, from the tempo read off the track
  • 22 of 22 captions placed on one track, from the real transcript
  • Pixel measured safe zones for TikTok, Reels and Shorts
  • Music ducked under the speech in one pass
  • And the timeline is ordinary Premiere clips, so you keep editing

Every number here was measured on real footage, not estimated.

Installing

In the panel in one minute

No installer to configure and nothing to set up inside Premiere. Three steps, once.

Download the file

Make a free account and the file is yours. One file, for Windows and macOS. Nothing else needs to be installed first.

Run it with Premiere closed

Premiere reads its extensions when it starts, so it needs to be closed while the panel is put in place, and opened after.

Open the panel

Start Premiere and find it in the Window menu. Dock it wherever you like: it remembers.

Window › Extensions › FastEdit
!
One extra step while the build is unsigned

Adobe asks for a certificate before it will load an extension without question, and that certificate is being sorted out. Until then the installer turns on Adobe's PlayerDebugMode setting for you, which is the switch that lets Premiere load an unsigned panel. It changes nothing else and it is reversible. This note disappears from here the day the signed build ships.

No credits. Nothing to burn, nothing that expires.

You are not buying a pile of generations you have to use up before the month ends. It is a panel that lives in Premiere and knows your project: your clips, your speech, your timeline.

It runs inside Premiere

No exporting, no uploading your footage to a website, no second app to learn. The panel opens in the workspace you already use.

The timeline stays yours

Everything it makes is ordinary Premiere clips, keyframes and graphics. Every cut stays editable, nothing is locked, nothing disappears if you stop paying.

Cancel in two clicks

From the Settings tab of the panel. No email to write, no retention call. Keep it only if it saves you time.

Honest expectations

What FastEdit does not do

It will not hand you a finished video. It hands you a cut timeline instead of an empty one, and that is the whole promise.

It might cut a line you would have kept

Auto Cut removes silence, not meaning. If you paused for effect before the punchline, all it hears is a pause.

It might leave a messy section alone

A stretch where you talked over yourself still reads as normal speech. You have to watch that part yourself.

It picks the cleanest take, not your take

It reads the words. It cannot tell that the second attempt is the one where you sounded like yourself.

It does not grade, mix or sound design

Colour, audio balance and sound design stay entirely with you. Nothing in the panel touches them.

The AI edit runs on your own Anthropic key, so what it costs sits on your account and not on ours. That is also the reason nothing else in the panel is metered.

How it works

Three steps,
then press play

01

Install the panel

Download it, run it, then open Window › Extensions › FastEdit. It docks like any other panel and stays where you put it.

02

Drop your footage in

A-roll, B-roll and music go onto three shelves. Clips show as real thumbnails, and green screens are found and marked as you add them.

03

Watch the timeline build

Cuts land on the beat, captions come from the actual speech, and the playhead follows the work so you can see each step arrive.

0 cuts landing inside a word, measured on real speech. The old threshold method made six.
257 ms to scan 32 seconds of audio for silences, with no external dependency.
22/22 caption cues placed on one track, every word from the real transcript.
22 animated title templates, all with text you can still retype in Premiere.

Questions

The things
people ask first

Does my footage leave my computer?

Only when you use the AI features, and only then. Auto Edit and the assistant send eight small frames of your footage and the transcript of the speech to Anthropic's API so the model can plan the edit. The panel tells you this before the first time it sends anything, and you can say no. Everything else, from cuts to guides to presets and titles, runs entirely on your machine.

Which versions of Premiere Pro does it work with?

Premiere Pro 2020 (14.0) and newer, on Windows and macOS. It has been built and tested against Premiere Pro 26.3.

Do I need After Effects?

Not for the presets, the cuts, the guides or the captions. Some animated title templates render through Premiere's own headless After Effects, which is what Premiere already uses for motion graphics templates. The panel marks those templates so you know which ones they are.

Can I use one key on more than one computer?

The key holds a number of activation slots, and the yearly plan comes with an extra one. Release a slot from the panel's Settings tab and use it on another machine: moving between a desktop and a laptop is two clicks, not a support request.

What happens if I cancel?

The panel locks at the end of the period you already paid for, and not a day before. Nothing is removed from projects you already edited, because everything FastEdit makes is ordinary Premiere keyframes, clips and graphics.

Will it work offline?

Yes, for up to seven days between licence checks, which is enough that a bad connection never stops you mid edit. The AI features need the network, since that is where the model lives.
