This page says plainly what the FastEdit panel sends, where it goes, and what never leaves your computer. If anything here is unclear, ask before you buy.
The short version
The free features send nothing. Safe Zones, gaps, reframing, anchors and zoom all run entirely inside Premiere on your machine.
The AI features send three things to Anthropic, the company that makes the Claude model, and to nobody else:
- Eight still frames sampled from the clips you are editing
- The transcript of the spoken audio, when captions or Auto-Edit are used
- Your clip names, durations and timeline structure
The panel tells you this before the first time it sends anything, and you can decline. If you decline, the AI features do not run and everything else keeps working.
What never leaves your machine
- Your video and audio files. They are never uploaded.
- The transcription itself. Speech is turned into text locally, on your own processor. The audio is not sent anywhere to be transcribed.
- Your Premiere project file.
Whose account it goes through
FastEdit uses your own Anthropic API key. That means the requests are billed to your account and governed by your agreement with Anthropic, not ours. We never see them, and we operate no server that your footage passes through.
Anthropic's own terms describe how they handle API data: anthropic.com/legal/privacy.
Working under an NDA
If your footage is confidential, check that your agreement permits sending frames and a transcript to a third-party AI provider before you use the AI features. That is a decision only you can make, which is why the panel asks before the first send instead of assuming.
What we store, and where
Everything the panel keeps is a file on your own disk, under
%APPDATA%\FastEditAI\ on Windows or the equivalent application-support folder
on macOS:
- Your licence record, so the panel does not have to ask every time you open it
- A receipt for the premium template pack, tied to your machine
- A local log of which generated scripts were run, so a bad edit can be traced
- Panel preferences, such as your chosen format and caption style
None of this is transmitted to us. You can delete the folder at any time; the panel rebuilds what it needs.
Licensing and payment
Subscriptions are handled by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as merchant of record. They receive your payment and billing details; we do not store card data. When the panel checks whether your licence is valid, it sends your licence key and a label identifying the computer, and nothing about your projects or footage.
Analytics
The panel contains no analytics, no telemetry and no crash reporting. It does not phone home. This website uses no tracking cookies.
